Recipe and picture by Michelle Matias :)
This can be prepared many ways also in skillet, lunchbox, Aroma 3 in 1 etc. so is not just for one appliance!
Filipino Pork Adobo
1-2 lbs Pork (cut in chunks - I just used chops and cut them up)
2 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed (make sure to rinse chopped potatoes to wash off extra starch, can also used already cooked potatoes)
1/4 C Soy Sauce
1/2 C Vinegar
Dash of Ground Pepper
1-2 pc of dry Bay Leaves
1 head of Garlic
(can substitute 3 heaping Tbsp Minced Garlic)
Water (depending)
* Put everything together in a large pot or Skillet (can use electric skillet or any comparable cooking device)
*Add enough water to cover meat.
*Cover till simmering, cook for 5 minutes then cook uncovered on med heat till tender and the sauce is getting thicker/reduced down a bit
* add potato. Bring to a boil and cover till potatoes are cooked or warmed through if already cooked. Add water if necessary/not enough sauce.
ENJOY!

Slow Cooker: Bacon Wrapped Pork Tenderloin with Potatoes
Recipe and pictures by Rick Hood :)
From the Rolling Whatacrock cafe.
Wet bake bacon wrapped pork roast! Thursday I did chicken today I did pork roast. I did a few things different this time. the pork roast was larger so I took the roasting bag and opened it up and laid it on my table and then laid the bacon, starting out with two strips one way then cross two strips the other way and then filled in the gaps with the rest of the bacon until it made a large star. Then I place the pork roast in the middle of thatand pulled the bag up and the bacon just kind of wrapped around the pork roast this way didn't have to use toothpicks to hold the bacon and place. Next I put the potatoes on top of the pork roast and an onion on top of that I also season with garlic salt and pepper. I sealed the bag at the top without adding any liquid. I placed this baking bag with the all the ingredients inside the crockpot which I had about 8 ounces of water. I also took the lid of the crockpot placed it inside a cooking bad and used it on top this way kept it from rattling while going down the road. The roast turned out quite moist and very very tasty very good the surprising thing is it didn't fall apart like most pork roast do as you can see in the pictures, when cooked in a crockpot or slow cooker.

Ninja System: Terriyaki Country Style Ribs
Recipe and pictures by Wendy Copper :)
Made Teriyaki country ribs tonight in the Ninja. They were delicious. .
First I browned them on high and seasoned them with pepper and ground ginger.
Then I added 1 packet of Kikoman teriyaki seasoning. 1 packet of lipton beefy onion soup mix. And 1 bottle of Kikoman teriyaki BASTING sauce.
Slow cooked on low for 6/8 hrs.
You can also make this in the burton oven too, I would think.

Ninja System: Stuffed Pork Chop with Kale, Spinach and Apple Butter with Creamy Brocolli Mashed Potatoes and Veggie Medley
Recipe and picture by Yardie GirlTruckin :)
To make the potatoes:
I used one large potato(it was more than enough for two)...Cut it up in small pieces and boil in water, seasoned with a little garlic seasoning. (Salt can be added if needed), until tender. When the potatoes are cooked, I took them out then added the chopped broccoli to the same water to cook a little. Meanwhile, mash the potato with some butter, a little milk(I used unsweetened almond milk)and a little black pepper. Then add the broccoli and some Grated cheese. And then you're good to go!
To make the pork chops:
I used thick pork chops and cut them open. Stuffed it with a little kale, spinach and some apple butter. Used some toothpicks to close them up. Browned them a little then put them in the oven for 1hr. I used the Ninja this time but I've done them in the slow cooker. .... On high for about 4hrs.

Slow Cooker: Creamy Potato Soup
By Kendra Elrod Marquis on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10:27am
Thanks Kendra :)
- 3 slices bacon OR 1/2 cup salt pork OR Smoked Ham chunks
- 3 potatoes
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 2 shredded carrots (or thinly sliced)
- 2 stalks celery, chopped fine (leaves OK) (if no celery try cream of celery soup condensed)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic
- milk
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Roux or milk and flour mix
I use a cooking mandolin to slice the vegetables. I slice the potatoes using the small Julian blade, the carrots can be done on the small Julian blade OR the thin slice blade, the celery on the thin slice blade and the onions on the thin slice blade.
Pack all the veggies in the crock, add the seasons, mix it all up, top with the butter, and fill the crock half way with milk.
Place on high and leave it be.
About 30 minutes before eating mix in the roux, or if you can not make a roux you can mix 1/4 cup of flour with about a cup of milk (I like using a shaker bottle for this) and just pour it in and stir.
Stir this whole thing twice in the next 30 min to mix well, then eat!! I top mine with shredded chedder.
Roux Recipe*** Take 3 tblspn of butter, heat and melt, add in 1/4 cup of flour. Stir continually so as to not burn. Once mixed well and the flour smell becomes a butter smell (before it turns too brown), pull from heat and add to food to thicken.
You can add milk and seasons to the pan to make a wonderful white gravy!!

Slow Cooker: Hungarian Style Goulash
Recipe and picture by myself
Ingredients:
2 lbs beef chunks for stew
flour
mustard (I used Dijon)
soy sauce (low sodium)
salt
pepper
paprika powder
cumin powder
ground cloves
2 small tubs of diced bell peppers (I bought the 3 colors already chopped in the grocery store)
1 small carton of sliced mushrooms
3 cloves garlic, mince them
3 onions, dice them
1 small can diced tomatoes
1 jar Sofrito (in my store it is in the Latin American food section)
1 beef bouillon tablet of Maggi
2 Bay leaves
So you take a big bowl, put in a handful of flower and season it with some salt, pepper, cumin, paprika powder. Then toss in the chunks of meat and make sure they all get coated in the flour.
Heat up a skillet and brown the meat in a mixture of olive oil and butter but make sure to do it in batches. If you add too much meat it won't brown. No need to cook it to perfection just brown it on both sides, transfer to a bowl until all meat is browned.Transfer the meat into the slow cooker. If you only have a slow cooker and no way to brown it first that's okay, just add the meat directly into the slow cooker.
Then fry up the bell peppers, mushrooms, bay leaves, onions, garlic and smother it for 5 minutes; again if you don't have a skillet just add straight into the slow cooker.
Then add the diced tomatoes, Sofrito, 2-3 table spoons of mustard, 2-3 table spoons of the spy sauce and last crunble the Maggi tablet over it all, give a good stir and transfrer all into the slow cooker. Or add it all in the slow cooker from the get go
Let it cook for about 6 hours and you can serve it with rice, mashed potatoes, boilet potatoes whatever you like. I am going to make mashed potatoes later to have with it. Enjoy!!
